In depth:
Just picked my glasses up today which arrived within a week. I couldn't be happier with them. After many years with a pair I bought from a supermarket chain I am now regretting not going to EDGE Eyewear sooner. The whole experience has been like chalk and cheese.
At the age of 50 I have been to many opticians over the years and my experience here has been way above anything I have experienced before.
The eye examination was next level and taken at an extremely thorough but nice relaxed pace. In the past I've often found the eye exam taken too quickly leading to your eyes watering still at that crucial time when homing in on the right prescription at the end. From the way they measure your eye pressure without jetting air into your eyes until you cry to all the detailed images of the insides of the eyes to check all is as it should be and baseline for future changes everything was top notch. At the end I was shown my current prescription through the machine and my new prescription. I now know why I have been getting tired eyes at the end of the day!!
After the examination and a lovely coffee it was time to have a look at all the frames they have. My previous frames I had chosen with no help at all from the supermarket chain opticians were way too narrow for my face and not at all suitable for my varifocal prescription. Joan was quickly to the rescue though and with her amazing knowledge of all the frames and lenses they have on offer quickly had it narrowed down to 4-5 pairs. Unsurprisingly I chose the first pair Joan showed me as her first choice for me was so spot on. Again there was no rush in choosing and everything was taken at a relaxed pace ensuring you get the frame that suits not only your face but also the lenses you are going to be putting in them.
